Haiti - Elections : Validation of the models of ballot papers

In its statement #38, the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) invites candidates registered for presidential and legislative elections of November 28, 2010 to report to the Direction du Registre Électoral, at its headquarters located at #72 of the street Stéphen Archer (Pétion-ville) to validate models of ballots. The operation will be from October 12th to 23rd, 2010, from 8:00am to 4:00am, according to the following programming. :

Candidates for Presidency :

Tuesday 12 and Wednesday, October 13, 2010.

Candidates in the Senate:

Wednesday, October 13, 2010 : Grande-Anse, Nord-Ouest and Nord-Est

Thursday, October 14 : Centre, Nord et Artibonite

Friday, October 15, 2010 : Sud, Nippes, Sud-Est and Ouest.

Parliamentary candidates :

From October 15 to 17, 2010 : Grand-Anse, Nord-Ouest et Nord-Est.

From October 18 to 20, 2010 : Centre, Nord and Artibonite.

From October 21 to 23, 2010 : Sud, Nippes, Sud-Est and Ouest.

This approach aims to prevent any abnormality in pictures and symbols, may impair the quality of the ballots. Candidates can apply in person or be represented by a person authorized by the Party. The Provisional Electoral Council reiterates the parties, groups and combinations of political parties committed to make elections free, democratic, transparent and inclusive.
