Friday in Delmas 33, Charles Jean Jacques, the National Authorising of the uropean Development Fund (EDF) and the Head of Delegation of the European Union, Javier Nino Perez, handed to the Ministry of Public Works (MTPTC) a lot of equipment at the cutting edge of technology worth more than 474,000 euros funded under the 10th EDF for the National Building and Civil Engineering Laboratory (LNBTP).

Thse equipments are : a thermo-regulated mixer, a pavement rutting tester, a gyratory compactor and accessories, a dynaplaque mounted on a Land Rover and a plate compactor. The equipment at the cutting edge of technology will enable the MTPTC to perform important work and benefit from the latest advances in technology and engineering.

On the sidelines of the ceremony, the MTPTC presented certificates to 12 technicians who have completed special training to operate these new ultra-sophisticated equipment, intended in particular for the Test Laboratory on bituminous asphalt which has just been inaugurated.

Recall that LNBTP is an autonomous public institution responsible for quality control of infrastructure construction in Haiti. It is also responsible for geotechnical studies, applied research on building materials and promoting standards of civil engineering.
