In order to support companies working in industry and manufacturing in Haiti, Jude Hervey Day, the Minister of Trade and Industry, visited a few companies of the National Society of Industrial Parks (SONAPI) working in : technology (Tablet Surtab), clothing manufacturing (DKDR-Haiti), and manufacture of mattresses and furniture (Entrepreneur Ashley Laraque, one of the oldest tenant of the SONAPI).

Furthermore, the Minister believes that the revision of the labor code remains a necessity in the process of dynamization and improvement of the sector. In this sense, he argues for new legislation on night work, which will increase the production of certain companies. Dynamic defender of a culture of results, the Minister is satisfied that from this new legislation, competitiveness and efficiency will be the pillars of Haitian businesses.
