Tuesday, Jimmy Albert, the Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action, signed in Belladère, a sports cooperation agreement with Jaime David Fernandez Mirabal, Minister of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation of the Dominican Republic.

This Memorandum of Understanding which commits the two countries to work towards the development of sport for young people, provides for the implementation of training courses for sports technicians, particularly in border regions; the participation of young athletes of the two countries in bi-national competitions; greater participation of women in sport and decision making in the management and sport policies.

This agreement also confirms the commitment of both countries to work within the program of cooperation and of development of sport for the youth of both Nations.

On the sidelines of the signing of this agreement, the Minister Albert took advantage of his visit to meet with Haitian sporting of the city of Belladère and express interest in a partnership on the training of technicians in various sports through the Federations and Associations national.
