Amendment to the US Senate on elections in Haiti

This week, to the US Senate, Senator Marco Rubio has proposed an amendment to extend the period during which the Secretary of State is obliged to submit an annual report to Congress on the state the progress of the post-earthquake period and the post-earthquake development efforts in Haiti and to extend the scope of the report to include an assessment of the level of fairness of the Haitian elections.
