Following the promises made in May, on modernization of the Haitian education system by the President of France, François Hollande an official trip to Haiti, https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-13853-haiti-politic-the-commitments-of-france-for-education.html a technical mission of the French cooperation currently stays in Port-au-Prince.

On Tuesday, the French delegation held a first scoping meeting, at the Ministry of National Education attended particularly by Nesmy Manigat, the Minister of National Education, Telfort Renold, Director General of the Ministry and the heads of the various technical departments (Basic and Secondary Education, Training and Development, Higher Education, Early Childhood etc...)

Based on the priorities of the Ministry of Education, the French and Haitian technicians will have to work throughout the week, inter alia on : the curriculum reform, language teaching, teacher training, the new secondary and strengthening of digital technology in the learning process. Areas in which French cooperation could intervene as early as next academic year (2015-2016).
