In a message the government and the organizing committee of the Caribbean Festival of Arts (Carifesta XII), the largest cultural event in the Caribbean, with the participation of 22 countries from 21 to 30 August 2015, invites the population o show hospitality and give a good image of Haiti to the thousands of visitors present for this occasion.

"Our dear country has the honor to receive the largest cultural event in the Caribbean for ten days. More than twenty countries will be represented by delegations that will bring us their culture, their expertise, their colors.

From August 21 to 30, 2015, Haiti will bubble in a mixture more tasty with so many differences, but differences with root the Caribbean soul, common traditions, modes of existence similar !

Citizens, we must be at the height of the confidence placed is us. Let's use this opportunity to improve our image of first black nation in the world, as a model for our visitors cousins. Our hospitality must still talk about it, our unifying momentum for a just cause has to wake up to welcome these foreigners curious to discover the wealth of our people.

They will be hundreds, even thousands to march in our streets, to visit our cultural sites that offer an unforgettable show to the eyes, to dance our rhythms so catchy, so original, so inspiring, to delight with our unique cooking, to be moved from our painting so deep, read our literature so edifying, to marvel at our artworks to the meticulous finish. In short, to mingle, soak, love and ask again what makes us a nation with the soul in the colors of passion, what characterizes the magic of the great people we are.

It is the responsibility of everyone, young, old, children, adults, men, women, to show the best that can offer Haiti. Every citizen has a responsibility, duty, the obligation to give to the foreign a reason to be surprised, a reason to appreciate, a reason to return.

Let's welcome them well, especially let's amaze them !"
