Haiti - Culture : An icon of the 80s song passed away

Friday, August 28 in the afternoon in Boston in the United States, the popular singer to success Hérold Christophe (50 years), the Haitian legend of love songs of the 80s, passed away following a cancer who gnawed him painfully for several years

Unknown to the new generation, it is one of the idols of the 80. His powerful voice, the choice of words of his songs, his passion and sensuality made him a unique element in the Haitian music industry. It is one of the few Haitian singers to have used the French language in our popular music.

Titles like "Maman, Je t’aime, Loin de toi, Manou, Donne-moi, Chantons en Chœur, Je pars" will remain the great classics of the Haitian music varieties.
