Haiti - FLASH : The CEP filed an appeal against the decision in favor of «Zokiki»

Following the decision of the Departmental Electoral Office of Litigation (BCED) of West rendered in favor of the appeal of the Senate Candidate Jean Renel Senatus aka "Zokiki" under the banner of LIDE, against the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), giving him winner in the first round https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-15063-haiti-elections-zokiki-winner-in-the-1st-round.html , the CEP has decided to contest this decision and to exercise in turn an appeal to the National Office of Electoral Litigation (BCEN), whose pleadings began Wednesday.

Thursday, Me Mosler Georges, Executive Director of CEP confirmed this information in a press conference "There is a decision that has been rendered between a candidate against the CEP, in this case, the Council has lodged an appeal against this decision to the BCEN."

102 of the 203 cases of dispute at the BCED are currently in appeal before the BCEN, but undoubtedly the case that will hold the most attention is the appeals of the CEP against the decision of BCED in favor of Jean Renel Senatus.

The Electoral Adviser Jaccéus Joseph, affirmed that the treatment of challenges to the BCEN will be completed by next week and that the final results of the first round of legislative elections will be published. Remember that these results, according to the electoral calendar, should have been published September 8, 2015...
