Watch live from the George Washington University (Washington, DC) Tuesday evening September 15, 2015, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm the First Haiti Presidential Candidates Town Hall Meeting with 5 candidates invited : JJean Clarens Renois (UNIR), Charles H. Baker (Respe), Simon D. Desras (Palmis), Moise Jean Charles (Piti Desalin) et Mathias Pierre (Konsyans Patriotik), which will present their views on the leadership of the state, governance, economic development of Haiti and their strategies for attracting foreign direct investment.

This meeting is organized by the Haiti Renewal Alliance (HRA) in partnership with the National Organization for the Advancement of Haitians (NOAH) and the National Association of Haitian Professionals (NAHP).

Proposal to postponement of the second round of legislative elections to December 27

Steven Benoît (Conviction) and Sauveur Pierre Etienne (OPL), presidential candidates have proposed the postponement of the second round of legislative elections to December 27, 2015, during a meeting at El Rancho on September 11 between the Electoral Council and a thirty presidential candidates on 54. According to them their proposal will not cause great upheaval, since the new legislators and the Head of State will be able to be nvested in their functions depending on the prescribed of the Constitution. In October 25 they suggest the organization of senatorial and partial legislative in areas where the vote of August 9th has been canceled, so that the second round of presidential and legislative takes place December 27.

Preparations for October 25 progressing well

Néhémy Joseph, Adviser at Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) said that preparations for the presidential election of October 25 are progressing well, indicating that the CEP evaluates the entire electoral machinery to prevent a recurrence of the errors recorded during the election day August 9.
