Sunday evening, as part of the final round of qualifying of the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) for the Olympics 2016, the Haitian Olympic team, after his defeat last Friday against the Honduras [1-0] https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-15348-haiti-football-olympic-qualification-2016-haiti-loses-against-honduras-%5B1-0%5D.html , bowed again [1-0] at StubHub Center in Carson (California), this time against Mexico for its second match.

The Mexicans largely dominated the game throughout the encounter, multiplying passes and attacks giving more opportunity to score if it had not been the solid Haitian defense including goalkeeper Luis Valendi Odélus which avoid several shots.

The Haitian selection seemed to have difficulty buildingstrategies even in the second half our players have been more offensive, they were not able to counter the winning goal from Raul Lopez (#8) to the 74' of the match nor to equalize the score for lack of cohesion in approaching the Mexican penalty area.

With this second defeat, this is the end of dream for our Olympic selection. Haiti is eliminated and will not participate in the next Olympic Games (Rio 2016).

Wednesday, the Haitian Olympic team will play for the honor, the losing team of Costa Rica against Honduras [2-0].
