Within the framework of cooperation between Haiti and Martinique, the Embassy of France represented by Elisabeth Beton Delegate, Ambassador of France in Haiti, the Community of agglomeration "Espace Sud" of the Martinique represented by Eugène Larcher, President of the South agglomeration and Ardouin Zephirin, the new Minister of the Interior and Territorial Communities, signed a tripartite cooperation agreement to strengthen the skills of the agents of Haitian collectivity

Falling within the extension of cooperation relations initiated between France and Haiti for many years in terms of good governance and support for the decentralization process, the agreement aims to support the Ministry of Interior in enhancing skills of local authorities and more specifically in the training of municipal agents of Haitian communes.

Scheduled on a first period of 3 years, the planned actions will mobilize the expertise of territorial executives and engineers of Martinique, that will participate in the development and conduct of trainings. Immersion stays in Martinique for municipal agents and executives of the Haitian State will also be organized.
