Haiti - Politic : Signing of «Patriotic agreement pact»

Saturday at the Oasis Hotel, Prime Minister Evans Paul, initiated the signing of a «Patriotic agreement pact» of non-violence, of respect of the aws of the Republic and the Electoral Decree of March 2, 2015, to ensure the full success of the elections of 25 October 2015. Several representatives of political parties, civil society, of the human rights sector as well as presidential candidates took part in this initiative.

Also in order to prevent the intentions and acts of sabotage of the election day, the Head of Government took the opportunity to announce a surveillance cameras system of the oting centers in real time, throughout the territory. In addition, a drone will fly over all voting centers in each department.

"It is never too late to send a signal of living together, of mutual respect, solidarity. The public authorities will crack down with the utmost rigor against any troublemaker on voting day. All arrangements will be made for the whole day actors pass sign the Patriotic agreement pact. The signing of this agreement will demonstrates of a patriotic outburst, an awakening and of live together," declared Prime minister.

The pact, written in Creole entitled "Dizon patriyotik pou eleksyon 2015", remains open throughout the day. A scanned copy will be sent to candidates, political parties and other sectors of national life having justified their absence, because of their latest campaign activities.
