Haiti - Epidemic : Brazil sends doctors and medicines

Through the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC), the Ministry of External Relations of Brazil, in partnership with hospitals Albert Einstein and Syro-Lebanese, send doctors and nurses in Haiti to assist the government and population in the fight against the cholera epidemic.

Health professionals are expected to arrive in Port-au-Prince on November 8 and will work closely with the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

At the initiative of Albert Einstein Hospital, 2.5 tons of medicines and equipment ambulatory, necessary to the treatment of almost two hundred patients affected by the cholera, will be given to Haiti.
