Haiti - Security : Carnival 2016, the PNH is ready

Friday, the Commissioner Frantz Lerebours, spokesman of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) to less than 2 days of the start of the National Carnival to be held in Port-au-Prince 7, 8 and 9 February 2016, confirmed that the security device and measures are ready to ensure the safety of the revelers.

Recognizing that this year the carnival will take place in a difficult political context, political parties having announced protests Sunday, the first day of Carnival, ; he stressed that in addition to Carnival activities, arrangements have been taken to ensure security and public order throughout the country, adding that soldiers of the Minustah will be deployed outside the perimeter of the carnival.
