Thursday at the Best Western Hotel in the presence of Jene Thomas, the new Director of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) has taken place the launching ceremony of "KONBIT" a projet of program "Local Solutions" of the USAID.

The project "KONBIT" aims to support the management capacity, financial and of planning for 15 companies including Haitian associations, non-governmental groups and social service organizations that engage in social and economic development that have benefited grant of "Local Solutions" program.

The project "KONBIT" intends to implement and coordinate comprehensive services of development, capacity building to strengthen the institutional capacity of Haitian civil society organizations so that they can meet challenges of development increasingly complex.

In order to achieve sustainable development results in Haiti, in addition to its partnership with the Haitian government, USAID is implementing a strategy that consolidates more the direct cooperation with organizations of civil society and the Haitian private sector to strengthen capacity and sustainability.
