This Monday the Youth Government of Haiti (GHJ) launches the National Contest "Equality" to be held on the theme "Egalite fanm ak gason se chimen devlopman".

This contest intended for all young 15 to 25 years, aims to promote reflection on the challenges of the policy of equality between women and men. It will be for participants to represent their vision of equality woman/man on the media of their choice: photography, drawing, singing, slam, text (literary and philosophical).

A winner will be chosen for each category.

The jury consists of artists and all kinds of personalities including: the singer composer Jean Jean Roosevelt, the philosophy professor Bildadson Cadelus, former Minister of Communication Mr. Ady Jean Gardy, Nadine Louis specialist in gender, poet James Noel, photographer Jean-Baptiste Nicodemus...

Winners will be announced on 1 April, ahead of the National Day of the movement of Haitian women.

All participants in this contest will automatically become a defender of the rights to equality and will be responsible for: the fight against discrimination, direct or indirect, prohibited by law or by an international commitment legally ratified or approved by Haiti and to promote the equality and to promote the 2014/2030 equality policy adopted by the Haitian Government.
