The Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) announced yesterday the creation of the Institute of Haitian-Dominican relations (IERDH). A new institution dedicated to the study, academic research, promotion, diffusion and impact of relations between the two countries.

The Institute is registered with the university as a space of research and study at the Faculty of Law and Political Science of UASD, at the levels of the first cycle and higher cycles.

Among the objectives of the IERDH include among others: the development of scientific projects in the field of international relations, encourage discussion on relevant issues and propose solutions, advising the national community and academic relations between the two countries.
