Saturday, 16 minors aged between 11 and 17 have been arrested in Jacmel between 10 p.m. and midnight in clubs, hotels, and public places by agents of the Jacmel Police on instruction of the Government Commissioner near the Court of First Instance of Jacmel, Me Françoise Mouraille. This operation is part of a series of actions implemented by the prosecution to stop the debauchery and juvenile delinquency, following complaints by the population.

Young people under 16 years were handed to the Office ofSocial Welfare and Research (IBESR) before being returned to their parent, those between 16 and 17 were returned to their families with a warning.

The Government Commissioner that fight against bad practices, that endanger the future of our youth, recalls that any minor, caught from 8:00 p.m. in the streets and places not allowed for -18, even with an adult or a parent, can be apprehended by the police.
