Haiti - Culture : The tastes and flavors of Haiti featured in Hanoi

As part of the activities of the 213th anniversary of our two-tone, took place on 6 and 7 May, the culinary festival of Haiti in Hanoi, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Haiti in Vietnam in cooperation with the Vietnam's military telecommunications group Viettel (Natcom in Haiti), with the participation of the famous Cheffe of Haitian cooking Thia.

This gastronomic festival, animated by musical groups, was the opportunity to present to diplomatic guests and Vietnamese students the traditional dishes to the Haitian style, a blend of tropical flavors and multicultural influences "I worked two days without sleep to prepare the traditional dishes of Haiti, but by using Vietnamese products," confided the famous Cheffe Thia.

"

Haitian culture stands out for its diversity and, at the same time is a reflection of the country's inner beauty. Indeed, the country's culture has crossed the times while retaining its traditional values. It has the magical power to electrify, to provoke a cultural shock, triggering excitement that delight lovers of art," declared Jean Lesly Benoit, Ambassador of Haiti and Chairman of the Embassy Group, delegations and Francophone institutions in Vietnam (GADIF).

Recall that Vietnam and Haiti have established diplomatic relations in 1997. Viettel Telecom Group was the first Vietnamese company to invest in projects in Haiti. For five years, Viettel provides telecommunications services in Haiti under the name "Natcom."
