Abel Nazaire, the Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action (MJSAC), spoke before the weekend with Yves Jean-Bart aka "Dadou", the President of the Haitian Football Federation (FHF), including about the preparation of Grenadiersfor the "Copa America Centenario" which will take place in the USA from 3 to 26 June

Was present at the meeting, Carlo Marcelin, the Secretary General of the FHF, Ernst Jean-Baptiste, the Assistant Director General of the Ministry, Valiollah St. LouisGilmus, Director of Sports and Physical Activities of MJSAC, Phania Thomas, Paul Emile Adrien and Jacques Ambroise, members of the cabinet of the Minister Nazaire.

The President of the FHF presented the picture of the situation of the national team by focusing on : the last tour of the coach Patrice Neveu in Europe https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-16642-icihaiti-football-patrice-neveu-met-reginal-goreux-in-belgium.html https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-16605-icihaiti-football-patrice-neveu-met-arcus-carlens.html https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-16507-icihaiti-football-patrice-neveu-in-europe.html ; the observation of Haitian players playing abroad; the departure of the national team planned mid-May; the transportation of players; the composition of the delegation; the non availability of funds and different payments on the 100 million gourdes allocated to the Haitian football.

The Minister promised to Dadou to revive the record of the "Copa America Centenario" with the competent authorities, especially with the President a.i. Jocelerme Privert despite the difficult economic situation the country is experiencing today. Other contacts will be established with the US consulates in order to offer the national team all the support required.

For his part, Ernst Jean-Baptiste suggested a special attention to some former Haitian players during the passage of the selection in the USA and informed of certain activities that the Haitian community reserve to the national team like the organization of a match between former glories of the Brazilian and Haitian football and the holding of a gala in Orlando in honor of the Grenadiers.
