Wednesday, thousands of textile workers, working in outsourcing manufactures of industrial estates of the metropolitan area, took to the streets, causing paralysis of activities in this sector.

The protesters were demanding a minimum daily wage of 500 gourdes and were very angry against the Superior Council of Salaries (CSS) whose they accused members of working against the interests of workers and do not consider the cost of living.
