As part of its program Solar2World of rural electrification community-oriented in developing countries, SolarWorld, the the largest U.S. crystalline-silicon solar manufacturer donated 50 kW of solar panels to the Hospital Lumière of the locality of Bonne Fin, a referral hospital of the Evangelical Baptist Mission of South Haiti (MEBSH) located on the fourth communal section of Cavaillon.

Located in the mountains, the hospital once depended for its power of diesel generators and were subject to continual fuel and maintenance costs as well as power disruptions that undermined patient treatment, expensive medical equipment and proper medicine storage.

The solar-battery installation of the hospital now totals 84 kilowatts and should now provide almost all the energy needs of the Hospital.
