The Presidency of the Republic announces having taken note of the closure, June 22, 2016 at midnight, of the registration book of political parties and confirmation of candidates for the presidency, in accordance with the detailed timetable of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP).

"On this occasion, it addresses his patriotic salute and its warm congratulations to the 27 candidates https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-17814-haiti-elections-27-candidates-running-for-the-presidency-list.html which , by confirming their participation in the upcoming elections, certify their full adherence to provisions that led to this stage and their commitment to the climate of trust established by the obvious posture of impartiality of electoral and executive leaders.

Similarly, the Presidency conveys its heartfelt thanks to the 27 other candidates who voluntarily abstained from exercising their inalienable right to run for president of their country. This free and responsible choice honors them. Its mission is to ensure a climate of stability and peace and to ensure adequate financial resources for the holding of credible and participatory elections. "Its sincere hope is, may the best win."
