The Haitian Football Federation (FHF) announces "the passing away of Gérard Zikiki Cinéus, one of the best coaches that Haitian football has known in recent years.

Cineus passed away this week, creating a heartbreak all over the country especially in the Les Palemes zone where he enjoyed great admiration and deep respect.

With his departure, the Haitian football has lost a great servant, a great educator and trainer, a highly respected citizen.

The FHF asks his family, the léogânais football community to receive its heartfelt condolences. It invites its members to participate in a final tribute to the highly respected Gérard Zikiki Cinéus, t the funeral which will be sung in the church of Ste Rose of the City of Anacaona Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 7:00 a.m."

Legal practitioner, teacher, Zikiki completed a life almost entirely devoted to his passion for football. Trainer coach ahead of its time, coach, Zikiki respected as much for his great culture, his deep knowledge of the game, his discipline, was also an apostle of the beautiful game and a precise playing style, he applied in all training conducted.

He also contributed to the football boom laying the foundation of the Southern selection he directed a while. His influence went far beyond the Deep South since he dispensed his knowledge across the country, including to Les Cayes and Grand-Goâve.
