Haiti - Elections : Outreach mission of CEP

The Electoral Advisers, accompanied by members of their Cabinets, ave been deployed since last weekend, in the 11 electoral departments of the country, should be noted that the existence of 11 electoral departments is explained by the fact that the West department, in electoral matters, is divided into two, as part of an awareness campaign of institutions targeted by Article 139.1 and 139.2 of the Electoral Decree, on the recruitment of members of polling stations. https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-18103-haiti-notice-recruitment-members-of-polling-stations.html

Through this deployment, the Advisers intend directly meet the leaders of the institutions concerned, to convince them to fully play the partition decreed by the Electoral Decree for the establishment of this category of temporary staff. The Advisers also intend, bring institutions and civil society, to propose lists of citizens as part of the recruitment of supervisors https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-18093-haiti-notice-the-cep-is-recruiting-supervisors-of-voting-centres.html

A draw carried out by the Council has determined the Adviser leading the mission in the different departments.

Should be noted that the registration processes for supervisors, as well as the reception of lists of citizens who will be drawn for the polling stations, must end this Friday, August 5th.
