Haiti - Social : Vandals today, future teachers tomorrow !

Jean Beauvois Dorsonne, the Minister of National Education deplores and condemns the behavior of students of the Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS), of future teachers who used Monday verbal and physical violence in view of their recruitment withinpublic function.

Recall that on Monday an ENS student group has demonstrated violently outside the Ministry, throwing stones, smashing car windshields, endangering the lives of employees at work and insulting officials and employees. A behavior deemed unacceptable by the Ministry, from men and women called to instill values and educational concepts to children.

The Minister regretted such as behavior while he has often reiterated his willingness to respect agreements concluded with ENS to benefit students. The Ministry stresses that he waits to act, the financial resources provided for in the new budget that is still not approved by Parliament. The Minister said that the recruitment of an employee in the public service depends on the available budget allocation and actual needs of the system.

While respecting the right of students to assert their claims, the Minister Dorsonne invited them to do so within the limits of the law and respect of the rights of others. He appealed for understanding asking students to be patient while waiting for the vote of budget, for the suites of their case.
