Franco-Haitian cooperation for education after a development work which lasted from March to September 2016, finalized a first project to support fundamental and secondary education in Haiti of the French Development Agency (AFD), during a working session between the teams of the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) backed by the International Centre for pedagogical studies (CIEP).

AFD financed to the tune of 8 million euros over 5 years, the project consists of activities that accompany the reforms initiated by the MENFP.

Main objectives of the project :

Make the 3rd cycle a real terminal cycle of the fundamental school preparing either the pursuit of studies (secondary) or vocational training, or for integration into working life and experiment this last cycle of the fundamental in voluntary schools;

Complete the generalization of programs of new secondary by supporting the development of the essential teaching and learning resources, training teachers and supporting relay institutions capable of diffusing resources on a local scale;

Support the Ministry of National Education in its role as driver of reforms and project developer.
