Haiti - NOTICE Elections : The CINs are available in the communal offices
The General Directorate of the National Identification Office (ONI) informs the population that the National Identification Cards (CINs) produced by the institution until July 12, 2016, were sent to the offices of departmental coordinations of ONI.
The departmental Coordinators of ONI recovered the CINs of their respective areas and routed them in the various communal offices which they are responsible. Thanks to the authentication devices that are connected with the database and the reports provided by the Coordinators, the Directorate General of ONI ensure supervision of the distribution of cards in its various offices across the country.
However, due to some logistical difficulties, the ONI could not decentralize the distribution of cards in the communal sections, as it usually does during elections.
The Directorate General also wishes to inform the public that the communal Bureau of Delmas will soon be functional in the ONA premises located at Delmas 17. Meanwhile, the population can continue to withdraw their CINs to the Central Office of the ONI located at #4 of the rue Miot, Babiole in Port-au-Prince. Others communal offices of West like those of Carrefour, Pétion-Ville, Gressier, etc... normally operate Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and CINs produced to July 12 are available.
