Haiti - Humanitarian : Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein expected to Port-au-Prince

Thursday, Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, on board the private 747 B-400 on her husband, carrying on board 90 tons of humanitarian aid for Haiti, which stopped in Rome.

During a technical stop for refueling the plane, Princess Haya in its capacity of United Nations Ambassador of Peace and President of the city of Dubai, was received in audience by Pope Francis to which she explained the efforts of the UAE to provide assistance and promote tolerance in the world. Stressing that Dubai had become the largest and busiest logistics hub for humanitarian aid in the world.

She then attended a charity football match "United for Peace". Next Destination Port-au-Prince, where she will personally oversee the distribution of 90 tons of relief aid estimated at more than 350,000 US dollars, which includes among others: water purification units, mosquito nets, medical supplies and tents to benefit approximately 300,000 victims.
