Haiti - Diaspora : Religious ceremony in memory of the victims of Matthew

The Haiti Consulate General in Chicago and the Haitian Catholic Mission of the Archdiocese of Chicago invites the Haitian community to attend a Requiem Mass to be celebrated at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Peace, located at 7801 South Jeffrey, Chicago, on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at 5:30 p.m., in memory of all victims of Hurricane Matthew.

"At this time of ordeal, the Consular Mission extends its sincere sympathy and solidarity with the entire haitian Nation and especially the residents of areas so cruelly affected by the passage of Hurricane Matthew.

The Requiem Mass, also commemorate the painful 210th anniversary of the assassination of the Emperor Jean-Jacques Dessalines, the illustrious Father of the haitian Nation, and without doubt one of the most courageous apostles of liberty in Americas."

Lesly Condé, the Consul General of Haiti in Chicago relies on the presence in great number of compatriots and friends of Haiti to enhance the brilliance of this moment.
