Monday evening, Romain Schneider Minister of Cooperation and Humanitarian Action of Luxembourg, announced the shipment of 500,000 euros of emergency aid to Haiti.

A first meeting is scheduled with humanitarian organizations to organize and coordinate aid on site.

In addition, two volunteers from civil protection and two satellite transmission systems have already been sent to Haiti by a satellite communications platform from a public-private partnership that can develop in less than an hour a communications system on a disaster site.

The first satellite transmission systems was installed in Les Cayes. Operational since Sunday, it helps the Haitian government to re-establish contact with the affected areas and cut off from the world since October 4.
