Haiti - Politic : National tour of the Prime Minister

Tuesday, Prime Minister, Enex Jean-Charles, accompanied by his Adviser Hébert Docteur and of Ministers Francois Annick Joseph (Interior), Guitho Laurore (Agriculture), Evelt Eveillard (Public Works) started in Fort Liberté (North East), a national tour that will take him to the North, the Grand Anse, South and North-West.

Members of the Government will take advantage of this tour to bring their emergency support to victims of Hurricane Matthew and flooding due to heavy rain falling for several days on a number of regions https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-19150-haiti-flash-new-floods-10-victims-4-departments-affected.html causing heavy casualties and material damage.

In the Great North as in the South Peninsula, the delegation will assess the effectiveness of responses to the needs of the population. The Head of Government will take the opportunity to call the government, departmental and local authorities to take action and reflections designed to strengthen the country's resilience to deal with major climatic hazards.

Furthermore the delegation will take the opportunity to ensure the proper functioning of the rehabilitation of facilities retained by the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) to house the voting centers in the next elections scheduled on 20 November.
