Haiti - Diplomacy : Accreditation of 2 new Ambassadors (India and Egypt)

Friday at the National Palace, de facto President Jocelerme Privert received the credentials of two new Ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary accredited in Haiti: Tsewang Namgyal (Republic of India) and Atef Mohamed Salem Sayed Elahl (Arab Republic of Egypt).

After officially receiving their credentials, President Privert separately had a tête-à-tête with the two diplomats in the presence of the Haitian Chancellor Pierrot Délienne.

He wished them a good stay in the country while promising them his frank collaboration as Head of State. He said he was open to working with representatives of all foreign countries to facilitate investments that would facilitate job creation and improve conditions necessary for the development of Haiti.

The two diplomats undertook to represent their country worthily, to work in full collaboration with the Haitian government while respecting the principles dictated by laws, conventions and treaties.

Following the presentation of their credentials, the two new Ambassadors each presented a floral offering to the Haitian National Pantheon in memory of the Heroes of Independence of Haiti. At the end of this brief ceremony, Mrs. Michèle Frisch, the General Director of the Museum of the Pantheon invited the two diplomats to visit the permanent and temporary exhibition rooms, to discover the history and culture of Haiti.
