Haiti - Security : Arrest of murderer of young police officer Rigaud
Tuesday in a press conference, Inspector Garry Desrosiers, deputy spokesman for the Haitian National Police (PNH), informed that the police had arrested 6 bandits in the framework of the investigation into the murder, on 11 December, of the young police officer Rigaud Claude Clermont including the murderer https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-19501-haiti-security-a-young-24-year-old-police-officer-savagely-assassinated.html , at least 4 of them were part of the dangerous Gang "sans limite" that sowed terror in Pétion-ville.
According to Inspector Desrosiers, the murderer, one of the members of the Gang, went on to confess, presenting to the media 4 of them "These are Jean-Louis Maxon (27) and Frid Colas aka 'Bout' who shot down the police officer." If before the media Jean-Louis Maxon has admitted having killed the police officer on the order of Enock (the Head of the Gang "Sans limite" actively sought), his accomplice, Frid Colas says to have nothing to do with the death of police officer Rigaud.
In addition, Garry Desrosiers presented the results of the operations led from December 1 to December 27, 2016, by the police of West in 13 communes (including Port-au-Prince, Delmas, Carrefour, Léogâne and Pétion-ville...), which led to the arrest of 242 people.
In summary for this period : "17 individuals were arrested for murder, 5 for rape, 6 for possession of illegal weapons, 2 for burglary, 2 for theft of motorcycles, 1 for armed robbery, 1 escaped was captured, 1 was arrested for arson, 73 for conspiracy, the other 125it is for other charges [...] There were 44 people injured in traffic accidents, and 16 people who unfortunately lost their lives in traffic accidents [...] 3 people were stoned, 2 lynched, 4 suspected bandits killed, as well as 2 police officers and a Chinese national, also killed by bandits [...]"
