The town hall of Port-au-Prince informs cultural operators, walking bands, DJ's and the general population in the commune of Port-au-Prince that, due to the commemoration of the 7th anniversary of the January 12 earthquake 2010, the pre-carnival exercises of 2017 will begin Sunday, January 15, 2017.

The Municipal Administration of Port-au-Prince enjoins all the persons concerned to respect scrupulously this decision in order to honor the memory of those departed.

In addition, the town hall takes the opportunity to express its solidarity with the population, following the tragic loss of lives and the considerable destruction suffered during this devastating earthquake.
