The Ministry of the Interior and Local Authorities informs the general public, merchants, students, tourists and all those concerned that in the framework of the provisions adopted to ensure the smooth running of the electoral process, the Haitian border will be closed on Saturday January 28 from 6 p.m. and throughout the day on Sunday, January 29, 2017. The border will reopen on Monday, January 30, 2017, from 6:00 a.m.

Furthermore, the Ministry also recalls that rallies likely to disturb public order are strictly prohibited throughout the territory from Saturday, January 28 p.m. until Monday, January 30 at 6:00 am.

In addition, nightclubs, theaters and other related vocation institutions, will keep their doors closed for the above period.
