Haiti - Elections : BCEN hearings begin

Léopold Berlanger, the President of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), informs the political parties, the political groups and the candidates concerned in particular and the public in general that "the session of the National Electoral Litigation Office (BCEN) to recognize appeals arising following the posting of the decisions of the Offices of the Communal Electoral Disputes (BCEC), relating to preliminary results of elections of local authorities, begin on Monday, 13 March 2017 [...]"

No fewer than 150 protest files concerning local elections have been filed with the BCEN.

"The Council invites all the parties concerned, both protesting and contested, to take part in the draw which will take place on the same day from 9.00 am"

Note : The cases concerning the constituency of Plaisance du Nord (complementary legislative / Deputy) and the Centre Department for the Third of the Senate will be heard during the new session of BCEN.
