In the evening of Sunday, a very important fire, visible for miles, ravaged the section dedicated to the warehousing and sale of imported used garments and textiles of Croix-des-Bossales, the largest public market of Port-au-Prince.

The firefighters from Port-au-Prince, Delmas and Carrefour came as reinforcements, arrived late in the evening and tried to circumscribe the violent fire despite a lack of water... Youri Chery, the Mayor of the capital, confirmed that the fire would have started in the warehouses of used clothing. However, the cause and circumstances of this incident remain unknown for the moment, no casualties have been reported and the damage are considerable, most traders having lost everything.

Recall that this market had already been partially destroyed by a fire on the night of 23 to Thursday 24 March 2016.
