Haiti - FLASH : Over a hundred Haitians survive in a cave for nearly 6 months

The organization Food for the Poor Haiti informs us that since the passage of the Hurricane Matthew, more than one hundred Haitians (men, women and children) survive in a cave located in Fond Rouge. These victims of Matthew have lost everything and are left to themselves, in what they call "the hole"

Jean Berlin Depeine, who assumes the role of "leader" of the families affected, explains with great sadness that they do not know what to do to survive. Living for most of agriculture, the hurricane devastated all their crops, inundated the gardens and destroyed their homes.

He explains that families have been feeding for six months, thanks to food donations made by two pastors, since they have no other help or means to get out of this unworthy situation, in which the Government seems to have abandoned them...
