Haiti - FLASH : BRH limits bank transactions in US dollars

Georges Henry Fils, Vice-Governor of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) informs that the BRH had injected 10 million US dollars into the foreign exchange market on Thursday 6 April. The BRH advises "that Commercial Banks, Savings and Housing Banks undertake not to exceed $ 30,000 per transaction per customer at the rate of 69.00 Gourdes per dollar sold. In addition, they are obliged to submit to the Bank of the Republic of Haiti the informations on the sales made (buyers, amounts and rates)."
