Haiti - Politics : Visit of Jovenel Moïse to the National Center of Equipments

Monday, as part of the preparations for the Caravan of change, to be launched on May 1 in the Artibonite valley, President Jovenel Moïse, accompanied by Fritz Caillot, Minister of Public Works, wento to the National Center of Equipment (CNE) to inquire about the condition of the equipment.

During his visit, the Head of State found that several expensive heavy equipment was faulty and he had issued instructions to ensure that all the necessary provisions were made for the CNE's equipment to be brought back into working order on 1 May 2017.

According to President Moïse, CEN's equipment will play a leading role, particularly in clearing 287 km of canals and rehabilitating more than 100 km of agricultural road before the start of the hurricane season (June)

"We must put the State at the service of the population," said Jovenel Moïse, who took the opportunity to salute the will and determination of the members of the CNE (CORRE/CNE) newly instituted by Presidential Order.
