Haiti - Education : «The hidden treasure of the Lamayotes» arrives on the airwaves

Friday, at the Lycée Pétion, Pierre Cadet Josué Agénor, the Minister of Education, accompanied by the Ambassador of France in Haiti, Elisabeth Beton Delegate presided over the launching ceremony of the new radio drama "the Treasury of the Lamayotes" in the presence of several bilateral and multilateral cooperation partners, as well as writers and professionals involved in the implementation of this project.

Born of a partnership in May 2015 between the Ministry and the French Embassy in Haiti, this serial of 28 episodes of 9 minutes each, designed and written by a team of experienced pedagogues and linguists, recounts the adventures of Zak and Nana, two young heroes traveling through Haiti in search of a mysterious treasure, through the voice of the illustrious storyteller, comedian and performer, Jean-Claude Martineau.

This radio drama will be broadcast on Radio Caraïbes (every Saturday morning at 7:45 am) and on Radio Kiskeya (every Saturday morning at 9 am and every Sunday afternoon at 3:30 am), but also on several radio stations in the region who confirmed their interest.

"The hidden treasure of the Lamayotes" (Le trésor caché des Lamayotes) is addressed to all Creolophone speakers, whatever their level of French. Anchored in Haitian culture, this program addresses many topics related to the history and geography of Haiti, while raising awareness of issues such as the environment and living together.
