This weekend in the Artibonite Valley, Émile Brutus, Secretary of State for Literacy, launched the "Alpha" caravan in support of the Caravan of Change. This new Caravan aims to reduce the illiteracy rate of farmers whose most of whom can neither read nor write. Saturday, June 3rd, Secretary of State Gérald Oriol Jr., for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities, was in the department of the Center, notably in the commune of Saut-d'Eau where he met about twenty handicapped people living in difficult conditions. The Secretary of State took the opportunity to distribute suitable materials (wheelchairs, crutches, etc...) and food kits.
