Last Friday, on a radio station in the capital, Ambassador of France in Haiti, Elizabeth Béton Delègue said her country wanted to double the number of Haitian students wishing to study in France recalling to deny false beliefs about the high costs of studies "[...] in France higher education is essentially public, that is to say, financed by taxpayers and foreign students are considered as French students, that is to say they do not have any fees or contributions, nor school fees to pay for their studies [...]"

She recalls that in order to accompany candidates wishing to undertake higher education in France, since February 2016, there is the Campus France space in Haiti, an agency under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of National Education. This space is a one-stop-shop for information and guidance on studies in France, capable of giving each student a personalized service to guide him in his studies and liaising with all universities, schools and training institutes in France.
