In the aftermath of the violent demonstrations in Port-au-Prince where 14 people were arrested. The Government condemns in a statement, these "disturbance of the public peace."... Several reports, suggests that these demonstrations are related to the delivery of the report of the Experts of the OAS responsible for assessing the results of the disputed first round, and to their recommendation to exclude the government candidate Jude Célestin, from the second round, in favor of the Candidate Michel Martelly.

Haitian Government press release:

The General Secretariat of the Presidency informs that following the incidents that occurred Friday, January 14, 2011 in the metropolitan area, the President of the Republic and the Government strongly condemns these attempts of the public peace disturbance and of obstacle to the good walk of the national life.

It is reminded to all state institutions responsible for the safety of persons and goods, to take all steps to bring order.
