Haiti - FLASH : Earthquake in Mexico, news from the Haitian community
Following the earthquake of 7.1 on the Richter scale in Mexico, on 19 September, which killed 324 people, including 186 in Mexico City, according to the latest report, the Embassy of Haiti in Mexico City informs that none victim is to be deplored in the Haitian community of Mexico.
In addition, the Embassy sent a letter of sympathy and solidarity to the Government of Mexico City, which recorded the highest number of deaths and injuries. Guy G. Lamothe, Ambassador of Haiti to Mexico, welcomed the spontaneity with which compatriots made their contribution to Mexico, which had not failed to provide its assistance to Haiti during the earthquake of January 2010, both in terms of immediate relief and post-earthquake management.
