Haiti - Politic : Martine Moïse meets US officials

On Monday, Martine Moïse, the First Lady of the Republic, met with the Director of the Office of the Special Coordinator for Haiti at the US State Department, Allen Greenberg who was accompanied by the Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy to Port-au-Prince, Robin Diallo. The discussions with the diplomat focused on the issue of child trafficking and protection as well as the fight against gender-based violence.

In addition to these two themes, which are priority topics for the First Lady and the Moïse-Lafontant Administration, this meeting was also about discussing the National Coordination Mechanism of the Global Fund, a UN body involved in fight against AIDS which Martine Moïse will soon have to chair.

This new leadership will help develop better strategies to eradicate these ills that hinder the development of the human being in the country, a fundamental condition for sustainable development in Haiti.

Martine Moïse took advantage of this important meeting to renew her will to fight against these two scourges that threaten the structures of Haitian society, while recalling that government programs, including "Konte m mwen konte", which aim to identify all children of the country and "Ti manman cheri" who come to support Haitian women in difficult circumstances, are already trying to bring lasting solutions to these two problems of society.
