Heidi Fortuné, the Minister of Justice, has dismissed in a letter approved by Prime Minister Lafontant, Myrlande Prévost Dupiche Substitute of the Commissioner of the Government, to the Court of First Instance (TPI) of Port-au-Prince. Letter in which he explains to Me Dupiche :

"[...] Referring me to the damning report submitted against you to the Minister of Justice and Public Security by your immediate superior, Me Clamé Ocnam Daméus, on the release of several detainees indicted on the orders of the Office of Instruction and thereafter; referred to the Criminal Court without the assistance of a jury to be tried for checkbook theft, fraud, forgery in private writing and complicity of forgery in private writing to the detriment of the restaurant 'Le Tifany 2000', it was decided to put an end to your duties as Substitute of the Government Commissioner.

This decision is effective upon receipt of this [...]"
