Tuesday, January 2, 2018, as part of the commemoration of the Day of the ancestors, President Jovenel Moïse, accompanied by his wife Martine and the Prime Minister, Jack Guy Lafontant, saluted the memory of the Fathers of the Fatherland during a ceremony of offering and meditation organized at the Haitian National Pantheon Museum (MUPANAH).

In the presence of numerous State authorities, ministers, parliamentarians, directors general, former Colonel Jodel Lesage, Acting Commander-in-Chief of the new Armed Forces of Haiti and Michel-Ange Gédéon, Director General of the National Police of Haiti, the Head of State laid a wreath at the Museum's National Independence Heroes Hall.

President Moïse after signing the MUPANAH's Guest Book, addressing the press wished the Haitian people a happy new year, while underlining the need for every citizen, in Haiti and in the diaspora, for ever to act according to the wishes of the heroes of the independence of the country.
